At Clair Tappaan, breakfast and dinner are served family-style; therefore, you should have a demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision and meet strict deadlines, all while maintaining a positive, guest-focused attitude. A flexible personality and the ability to handle stressful situations with a smile is a must.
The Head Chef position is a year-round position. In Winter and Summer seasons overtime is required at times, while in the Spring and Fall extended time off is a possibility. Split shifts are typical in order to prepare and serve breakfast and dinner. Punctuality and reliable transportation are a must. The candidate should have a valid driver’s license, CA Food Handler’s card, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position will require you to be on your feet for long periods of time. Prospective candidates will possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work within a small team environment while performing a wide variety of tasks both inside and outside of the Lodge. This Jack/Jill-of-All Trades position requires experience in customer service, clerical office duties, food service, light maintenance, and housekeeping.
