- 2 years previous professional cooking experience (family style a plus)

- Skilled trainer with the desire and ability to lead and teach others
- Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices (California Food Manager-Serve Safe Certificate a plus)
At Clair Tappaan, breakfast and dinner are served family-style and a self serve lunch bar is set up each morning. Top candidates will meet the experience requirements and be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision and meet strict deadlines, all while maintaining a positive attitude and offering exceptional guest service. A flexible personality and the ability to handle stressful situations with a smile is a must.
The Head Chef/Kitchen Coordinator position is a year-round position. In Winter and Summer seasons overtime is required at times, while in the Spring and Fall extended time off is a possibility. Split shifts are typical in order to prepare and serve breakfast and dinner. Punctuality and reliable transportation are a must. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, CA Serve Safe Manager’s Certificate or Food Handler’s card, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
